As part of the Jayanthi Mahotsavam of His Holiness PujyaŚrī Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, an Akhila Bhāratīya Kavi Sammelanam was held on 03.09.2010 at Srimatam, Kanchipuram, in the benign presence of His Holiness.

Nearly forty poets presented their poems in honour of Pujyasri Acharya Swamiji in his immediate and benign presence. Several renowned poets like Prof. Reva Prasad Dvivedi, Prof. Shivji Upadhyaya and Prof. Abhirajarajendra Mishra, and Four Vice-Chancellors and directors of various educational institutions participated in the function. His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji presided over the function. The programme commenced at 09.00 A.M and concluded by 06.00 P.M. Prof. Narayan Jee Jha, Professor of Sanskrit, Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, coordinated the event.
